WorldsWire operates worldswire.com, a collection of daily geography and culture games, archived challenges, and The Classics Vault subscription. This Privacy Policy explains what information WorldsWire collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. By using WorldsWire you consent to the practices described here. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, by notice through the site or via email.
2. Account information
When you create an account, WorldsWire collects the email address you sign up with, authentication identifiers from your chosen sign-in method, your subscription status (including whether you have an active Classics Vault subscription), and account preferences such as display name, selected modes, notification settings, and similar in-app settings. If you play as a guest, WorldsWire stores an anonymous device identifier on your device so your progress and streaks can be saved; this identifier is not linked to a personal identity unless you later create an account.
3. Payments and billing
Payments for The Classics Vault and any other paid features are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe, Stripe collects and processes your payment card or bank details, billing address, and related transaction information directly. WorldsWire does not see or store full payment card numbers or other sensitive payment credentials. WorldsWire receives limited billing metadata from Stripe — such as the Stripe customer ID, the plan you purchased, subscription status, renewal date, last four digits of the card, country, and currency — which is used to provision Vault access, manage renewals and cancellations, prevent fraud, handle disputes, and meet accounting and tax obligations. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by its own privacy policy.
4. Gameplay and product activity
WorldsWire collects information about how you use the games and the rest of the product, including: scores, streaks, daily and archived challenge completions, per-category performance (flags, map shapes, ethnic breakdown, religious makeup, wildcard, loanwords, and similar categories), difficulty levels played, time spent in sessions, mode selections (such as Fun Mode or Creator Mode), Classics Vault content interactions, and interaction events such as button taps, navigation, and feature usage. This is used to save your progress, render leaderboards and personal stats, surface daily content, debug issues, evaluate which content and features work well, and improve the product.
5. Device, technical, and analytics data
WorldsWire automatically collects technical information when you use the service, including device type and operating system, browser type and version, screen size, language settings, IP address and approximate IP-based location (such as country or region), referral source (including UTM parameters and the page that referred you), session timestamps, and crash or error diagnostics. Analytics and tracking technologies — including cookies, local storage, and similar identifiers — are used to measure usage, understand user behavior, attribute referrals, detect abuse and fraud, evaluate subscription conversions, and improve performance and reliability. Aggregated or de-identified analytics data may be retained for longer periods to support historical trend analysis.
6. Creator Mode (camera, microphone, and recordings)
Creator Mode is optional. When you enable it, WorldsWire may request access to your device's camera, microphone, screen capture, and (where supported) speech-recognition APIs, solely to provide gameplay recording functionality and the related downloadable video output. Camera and microphone streams and the resulting recordings remain under your control. Recordings are processed on your device wherever possible; where temporary server-side processing is necessary to assemble or transcode a downloadable gameplay video, the recording is retained only for as long as needed to produce and deliver that output and is then deleted. WorldsWire does not use Creator Mode recordings for advertising, model training, or any purpose other than providing the recording feature to you. You are responsible for what you choose to save, share, publish, or distribute.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
WorldsWire uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication and session management, to remember your preferences, to maintain guest progress on a single device, to measure analytics and conversions, and to detect abuse. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may break functionality such as staying signed in or saving progress.
8. Service providers and third parties
WorldsWire relies on a small number of service providers that process data on its behalf in order to operate the service. These currently include: Stripe (payments, subscription billing, and the customer portal); Supabase (authentication, database, and storage); analytics providers (product and web analytics, attribution, and event tracking); hosting and infrastructure vendors (application hosting, CDN, and similar). Each of these providers may receive the data necessary to perform its function and is contractually or otherwise obligated to handle that data consistent with its own privacy and security commitments. WorldsWire does not sell personal information for money. If aggregated or de-identified data is shared with advertising or analytics partners to measure or improve the service, that sharing is limited to what is necessary for those purposes.
9. Legal bases and disclosures
WorldsWire may disclose information when required to do so by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process; to enforce these terms and to protect the rights, property, or safety of WorldsWire, its users, or the public; to prevent or investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, in which case information may be transferred to the relevant successor subject to this Privacy Policy.
10. Children
WorldsWire is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Creator Mode requires users to be at least 18, or 13–17 with verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact raeliyne01@gmail.com and the data will be deleted.
11. Security and retention
WorldsWire uses industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure. Account data is retained for as long as your account remains active and for a reasonable period after deletion to complete pending transactions, meet legal and tax requirements, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. Aggregated or de-identified analytics may be retained for longer periods. Stripe retains billing records as required by financial regulations regardless of WorldsWire-side deletion.
12. Your rights and choices
You may access, update, or correct your account information from in-app account settings. You may cancel your Classics Vault subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal linked from your account settings. You may delete your account and request deletion of associated personal information directly from in-app account settings or by emailing raeliyne01@gmail.com; once a deletion request is processed, associated personal data is removed within a reasonable period, subject to limited retention as described above. Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR in the EU/UK and the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have additional rights such as the right to know what data is collected, the right to access or port your data, the right to correct or delete it, the right to object to or restrict certain processing, the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. You may exercise these rights by contacting raeliyne01@gmail.com. WorldsWire does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals.
13. International users
WorldsWire is operated from the United States and may process and store information in the United States and in other countries where its service providers operate. If you access WorldsWire from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your country.
14. Contact
Questions, requests, or complaints about this Privacy Policy or your data can be sent to raeliyne01@gmail.com.
15. Marketing communications
Users who opt in during signup or from their profile page may receive marketing emails from WorldsWire, including product updates, new feature announcements, early access invitations, and geography content. Opting in is always voluntary and the checkbox is never pre-checked.
You can opt out at any time by updating your preferences in your profile or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. Opting out stops marketing emails but does not affect transactional or account-related emails (such as password resets, billing receipts, or security notices) that are necessary to operate your account.
WorldsWire will never sell or share email addresses with third parties for marketing purposes.
